Moving and shooting

Post by Jafele »

I´ve seen a russian antitank gun moving and shooting at the same time to another direction. Is it realistic?

I wouldn't think so.

Nope. Side effect of creating movable ATGs.

No, this doesn't seem realistic. I'm sure this is the result of how we tried to implement mobile AT guns. Our approach was rather quick and dirty, so that they could be incorporated into this game rather than the next, and it looks like this is one of the unfortunate side affects.

Jafele, you mentioned that the gun was shooting off to the side? You mean different than the direction of the gun?

Keep in mind that if it is during a replay of the action that things can get out of sync sometimes and things can look strange.

I mean to a different direction of travel (about 45 degrees). It was almost a close combat situation against an infantry unit (eventually it was routed after a few gun shoots). I hope this little mistake can be easily repaired.

PS: The action didn´t take place during a replay, I saw it live in combat.

To stop that maybe adding the 'assault gun' attribute would work.
