Is there a "no silvermist" option?

Is there a "no silvermist" option?

I enjoy the nuisance that the space monsters offer but the silver mist seems a bit ridiculous to me. Having a SM outbreak kill two colonies in a matter of 10 seconds is a bit harsh and even game breaking in my opinion. Even the most powerful late game enemy fleet will take longer to kill two established colonies than that. I know there was a contest to have the silver mist included in the game but it seems a bit too powerful to keep as a non negotiable option to me.

You can disable either spacemonsters or disasters and events at the start of a new game to stop the silvermist from appearing (though I'm sure if just disabling monsters works, I remember there was a thread asking for such an option a few months back) [:)]

Ah very good....I suppose I can live without disasters. Be better if you could just turn off silvermist and leave everything else, but this'll do.
