Multiplayer Issue

Tonight (12/18/2012) both Gerry and I tried three times to get a game in. We were both on the beta patch (v1.12). We tried playing Firefight #3 General Petrov.

I was the Russians and Gerry was the Germans. We could never get farther than Gerry moving a single unit and then me performing my first action (Hasty Defense). Then the game would just "hang." However we both say overall lag while designating artillery (me) and placing our reinforcements.

On my end, most of the time I just saw the round circle (waiting for symbol). It wasn't frozen but just swirling. We could chat in-game without an issue.

Thank you for the report. It's possible there was some trouble with the server. Is anyone else seeing this problem? I'll run a test this afternoon to see whether I can reproduce this.

Eric, I don't know if you ever got to test the server but tonight my friend and I (whom I never had a problem playing with using the v.12 beta) was able to play successfully using the new v1.14 patch. It might mean nothing since we've not had issues like Gerry and I had but just a fyi. Outside of the server still checking for v1.5, everything went smooth.

yes there always seems to be a delay with updating the version number on the server side - I assume this is a Slitherine task and needs to be done within their business hours..

Just FYI the version warning is purely cosmetic with the latest updates as they allow you to play regardless of your version.
