Type 100 Te-Re Tracked FO Troubles:

Here's my problem: I'm playing a PBEM game and as part of my forces I purchased a Type 100 Te-Re Tracked Forward Observer unit. (I'm playing Japan vs the USMC.) So far we've played a few turns and every time I select the Te-Re and I click on the 'B' icon or press the 'b' key to assign a bombardment, I am informed by the game that the Te-Re cannot assign atty. Any advice on how and why this is happening would be appreciated!

Corrupted OOB? I just tested it in a small test scenario and it assigned arty all right for me.

Check via oob editor that the unit type is okay?

I just checked it on the OOB editor and it is listed in the Japan OOB as an '85 - TrackFO Vehicle'.

Same designation here...create a small random battle and see if it works there? If it does, then the bug is in the pbem part. Perhaps save is bit broken.

I set up a test battle in the 'solitaire mode' with a Te-Re and a battery of 150 mm mortars, and had no problems using the Te-Re to assign bombardment missions.

Is there any way to test the PBEM mode to see if it has a problem? Thanks!

Simple set up the PBEM against yourself, after setting it up and taking turn end turn allowing it to save and then reload save then you'll be playing against yourself. Just keep doing this until you tested what you want no need to email or anything. Post your problem save PBEM here if you and I'll see if I have the same problems with it

Thanks GMenFan! The problem with the Te-Re seems to have resolved itself! (At least for now.) Should the problem happen again, I'll try your idea.
