Assigning Attacks

I've discovered over time that if I fix one problem, I tend to cause another. Due to the debug issue I was having I reinstalled. Debug issue gone. Now I have an issue assigning attacks. I cannot get the dialog to pop up that permits me to chose the attack options. Now when I right click over an adjacent enemy my unit is assigned to attack without being given the option to choose minimize, limit, or ignore losses, etc. Is there a fix, or do I have to endure another reinstall? Since it's a reinstall, check your options and reset to what you want- that's 'Default Options', 'Game Options' and 'Player Options' from 'Play' Menu. In your case 'Double click opens planner' probably needs to be set to 'On' in 'Player Options'.

Right click assigns the selected unit to attack - a double left click opens the combat selection window if the option identified by GS is selected on.

Having just reinstalled myself I only figured this one out a couple of weeks ago - you are not alone!

Thank you both so much for your help. It having been so long since the first install, the need to reset options on reinstall caught me off guard.

Interesting. I was trying to figure out the game via the tutorial - just DL'ed yesterday - and double click doesn't do anything on my system at all. There are no tooltips over the icon panel, so I have no idea what these tiny icons do, either (display issues prevent it from opening to full screen - it's a small window on my screen).
