Tokyo Rose?

The Nips just captured Hong Kong. Some chick got on the air and starting talking smack how Hong Kong was captured. Is this supposed to be Tokyo Rose?

Yep, but she never called herself "Tokyo Rose" so you hear the name "Orphan Annie".

Orphan Ann was the on air name of one of the women who are generically remembered as Tokyo Rose. She was the best known of the broadcasters and probably had the most air time.

The news broadcasts are little easter eggs that are triggered by various events. There are a number of them.

yup - as a bonus after a battle between a PB and an xAKL you get the message:

that the ever victorious navy of the Japanese empire just sunk 2 carriers, a battleship etc etc etc.... one of the best moments in the game :)
