Can't Update "Error Reading file from server"

I get this error after the entire 1.1 GB file downloads. Then, after it has finished, this error pops up. I have done this three times, trying to run the update through the game start menu as well as by the standalone "update.exe" application. I have run it as Administrator, and that fails too in the same way.

I will try again to update by downloading the 1.17 patch separately and see if that works, but I had already tried that previously and while it seemed to install, there were options missing, such as the option to use the Shader 2.0. (The shader 2.0 shortcut was there, but it didn't point to anything).

Sorry to read that you're having problems downloading the file. If this continues, please contact Matrix support. We at WCS don't have anything to do with the download process or the installer, and the Matrix staff only reads these support forums intermittently.
