Air army benefits

Just wondering what benefits could be achieved by air army comparing to front air commands in early war. Combat, administrative or what? Almost everyone is waiting for summer of 1942 to start active actions by sov.airforces when air army arrive. Just can not understand what advantages it gives?[&:]

Some ideas have come.Aircommands in 1941 can't be put under others fronts or...? I mean f.e. Caucas Aircommand can not be designated to NorthFront. And in summer 1942 you may put as much airarmies as you like under the front command. Am I right? Tell me anybody something![>:]

AFAIK it's just a name and you can assign it wherever you want.
