Chance 512 Table

Post by Platoon_Michael »

Hello,
I'm curios if the various Chance Tables are set in stone?

I.E.
For the Chance 512 table it goes in order of.
0% 0
.001% 1
1% 36
5% 81
10% 114
15% 140
20% 162
25% 181
30% 198
35% 214
40% 229
45% 243
50% 256
55% 269
60% 283
65% 298
70% 314
75% 331
80% 350
85% 372
90% 398
95% 431
99% 476
100% 511

If I was to pick say 16 will the game recognize that or do I have to round it off to what's listed?

thanks

RE: Chance 512 Table

Hello,
And Merry Christmas.

1) I'd like to know if the Base cohesion & fatigue costs are from the 512 table as the workbook states?
My current Campaign.txt file has them listed as............

# Base cohesion cost for movement (0-512)
16
# Base cohesion cost for combat (0-512)
64
# Base fatigue cost for movement (0-512)
32
# Base fatigue cost for combat (0-512)
64

But yet I'm finding my guys are very seriously Winded and in quite a few cases are Fatigued at the start of the Battle.

Just seems the percentages from the 512 table are set pretty low with 16 being around what .8%?
But if was really the Chance 128 Table then it would be around 12%
Or do you have to add them all together (176) and be at around 23% from the Chance 512 Table?

2) What are the percentages gained for Resting Said BG with such Ill effects from all their heavy and constant fighting?

Chance 512:
0% 0
.001% 1
1% 36
5% 81
10% 114
15% 140
20% 162
25% 181
30% 198
35% 214
40% 229
45% 243
50% 256
55% 269
60% 283
65% 298
70% 314
75% 331
80% 350
85% 372
90% 398
95% 431
99% 476
100% 511

Chance 128:
0% 0
1% 1
5% 6
10% 13
15% 19
20% 26
25% 32
30% 38
35% 45
40% 51
45% 58
50% 64
55% 70
60% 77
65% 83
70% 90
75% 96
80% 102
85% 109
90% 115
95% 122
99% 127
100% 128

Here's my Current GC file for anyone interested.
You MUST have the Stock Mod installed in order for this file to work properly.
It takes only a few minutes to go from Fatigued to Winded but it can take upwards of 3-5 minutes to get from Winded to Healthy when put on Ambush.
If set at Defend takes considerably longer.

Hi Michael,

You can use any value between 0 and 511 for a 'roll' against the trait value range (0-512). It does not have to be one of the values listed on that table.

Fatigue and cohesion ratings accumulate to form a rating, they are not a random chance. If you fight a battle the BG's fatigue rating will increase by a percentage equal to the 'fatigue cost for combat' value and the cohesion will decrease by the 'cohesion cost for combat.' The amount of change is actually scaled depending on the current value (i.e. if you're increasing fatigue and your fatigue is already very high it won't add 64 as a flat value, but a smaller amount depending on how close you are to the max value of 512. The closer to 512 the less is added.) but this formula is difficult to explain and not really important in understanding how to use these values.

If you rest a BG overnight it recovers about 33% of its lost cohesion and fatigue. If you rest it during a day turn it recovers 33%/number of turns per day (set in campaign.txt).
