If you're blitzing why don't you have 90% of the attacking force set to pursue (which would have dramatically dropped the adjusted AV) and why bother shock attacking?

No. Overkill would be adding the entire Red Army to the stack. [8D]

Some were wounded twice?

"Sir we counted 7021 bodies after our annihilation of the enemy!"
"Son, we fought too hard for there to have only been 7021 enemy soldiers. There had to be at least 7091, and that is how we will report it."

That is how I report fishing stories that are too embarrassing to report to my two brothers..

If I don't wanna sound like a p&&#y after catching only 2-3 fish at the county lake, I inform them I caught around a dozen...

I see the logic there. Well done.

I think it is because the Allied superiority was so great, that a few of the Japs were killed twice before they hit the ground.

The attack was across the Shiminoseki Straights so an auto shock attack.

The lead to the attack in the DOWNFALL scenario was having cleaned out Kyushu against some large IJA stacks I got about 2/3rds of my force and attacked across the straits.

I have now split them into a British Commonwealth force along the North coast and the USA/USMC along the South and have moved past Hiroshima. Both moving in MOVE mode until they hit something too big to clear out on the run. I also try to kill units rather than push them back and have to fight them again. (Hokkaido is almost cleared, here the AI even counterattacked and pushed back a division which got ahead of itself)

I havent peeked, but I think the empire is very low on supply as air attacks are down to 4-6 sorties per mission. (Maybe killing 20,000 aircraft has helped)

For those AI players seeking a challange against the IJA DOWNFALL is very exciting, you can lose out against the massed kamikaze if you get lazy, and the first 3 mths can be on a knifes edge. I think I'm through that, broken the crsut and into the soft centre.
