Ordering a Hard Copy

Post by Kabar »

Hi

I did a quick search but couldn't find anything relevant.

Now that Matrix and Slitherine have merged, if I order a hard copy from Matrix Games, will it be sent from Slitherine in the UK (where I live) and avoid any extra charges? Or will I need to register at Slitherine?

Cheers

Hi welcome.
It doesn't matter if you purchase through Slitherine or Matrix shop, the boxed editions are always sent from US to every part of the world.
BTW there isn't a great difference in the posting price.

Thanks for your reply, VPaulus. I fancy grabbing some hard copies of Close Combat titles which is why I was asking.

It's not P&P I'm concerned about though but the charge HM Customs like to place on goods coming in from the US.

Cheers

We were told by CustomCD (our partner for the boxed editions) that orders for Europe will not play any customs tax.

I'll ask someone from our office to confirm this.

Oh, if it that's the case then that's great!

The last time I ordered a box copy, I think it was TOAW III, it got a charge but that was 2-3 years ago.

Cheers

Since when? Is the german store closed? My last 20 boxed editions came from there ;)

Without warning the German warehouse was closed on 1st March by Custom CD and now everything has to ship from the US but they do it in a bulk way that means the prices change very little and some are lower. All our German stock is currently on route from Germany to the US. We're promised there will be no issues but we've not seen it running long enough to know for sure if there will be any impact. We're monitoring the situation carefully at the moment and so far we've not seen any major glitches.

Sounds bad Iain. With the german store an order took only 2-3 days to arrive. Before the german store it took 5-6 weeks! Lets hope its not like this again. Could cost you a lot of your new european customers.

It would be good to hear about users experiences on orders placed after the 1st March outside of the US. If you let us know where you are based and how long it takes to reach you that would be great to know.

The postage prices we've seen mean you're better off for small orders and marginally worse off for larger orders. Overall it looks pretty neutral on the price. We've been told it will only add around 1-2 days to shipping times and there will be no customs issues but we've not seen enough to be sure that is the case. We're still hoping it all works fine.
