3-D Google Earth maps for Battles for Greece/COTA

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

3-D Google Earth maps for Battles for Greece/COTA

Post by Plodder »

Since the expansion is due for release soon, I thought I'd let everyone who doesn't know, that map overlays like the BFTB battlefield tour are still available here:

I did these about 5 years ago and are not up to the standard of the battlefield tour but they will help you with visualising the terrain of Greece, which is lot more dramatic than the Ardennes or Holland. [:)]

Just to show you, here's a preview of of the Thermopylae map:

Very nice work. I hadn't looked at the BFTB earth tour until seeing this post, Awesome. Downloaded your map file and going to give that a look.Shows all the work that went into the maps. Just waiting for patch 4 to go final and Cota to be released and then going to sweep up the whole lot. Played the demo for BFTB and then tried to go back to the old HTTR and just wasn't the same. I like all the bells and whistles they added... alot was added...thank you Panther and all concerned....i'm waiting impatiently[;)]

A cheeky bump for the release of the expansion pack....

Totally agree, and the first company to do so is going to make big money, if they can develop their own maps, or afford to pay Google the Royalties to use theirs.
Imagine command ops on this kind of map with fluid unit footprints.
Ill just keep dreaming [8|]
Hope I don't die before it happens [:'(]
