Mystery Command Ops videos on youtube

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Mystery Command Ops videos on youtube

Post by BletchleyGeek »

I've come across these videos on youtube, depicting a playthrough of some Command Ops scenarios

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQ1adwJn-lw

It seems to have no sound, so I'm not sure what's the context for it. Well, I found out it's related to this blog

http://warforgame.blogspot.it/

but I haven't been able to find posts about Command Ops close to the dates youtube lists as the moment the videos were uploaded.

I've always been tempted to do a Command Ops livestream, but I don't have nearly enough upstream bandwidth at home for acceptable video quality. :(

I confess...I am both Grey Hunter and the Italian....

No. I'm not actually. I'm neither. Grey Hunter is from northern England, from his accent. While since I lived up there, but maybe Leicester or some such place a little south of Lancashire/Yorkshire. But he's lived in the north-east for some time too.....I'm sure this info will assist your quest no end, BG....

You can find Grey Hunter on the Something Awful forums. He has done Let's Play threads for many wargames. He is currently doing a playthrough of WITP, 1 day at a time.

SA's "paywall" video is very funny, indeed. Thank you for the tip, Vyshka [:)]

Grey Hunter's LP'd a bunch of wargames on SA (the original, an LP of Forge of Freedom, got him sent a free copy of Crown of Europe by the developers as a thank you because IIRC it actually boosted the monthly sales of the game by a statistically significant amount.

He also writes the OP for our general wargames thread here. There are a bunch of goons who's names you might recognise occasionally posting in these forums, a few of which play Command Ops.
