Tora Tora Tora

I think the battleships need more damage in the Tora Tora Tora scenario.

Currently the U.S. player can have them all back in action in the early summer of 1942.

In truth, only the Arizona was a total loss so having only 1 or 2 sunk BBs is not unrealistic, especially since in the game several other USN warships get toasted when again in actuality only the Cassin and Downes (DDs) were total losses. 3 warships permanently sunk, where in the game, there is usually a dozen of all types sunk.

The problem is in the repair routines and we can't fix that. Pearl couldn't repair that many capital ships at once, so they were sent to west coast ports. In the game, you can leave them all at Pearl.

Truk had no shipyard or drydock of any kind, yet it has a 10 pt shipyard - it should moved to a Japanese port city. Whereas Singapore has (had) massive port and repair facilities and it has no shipyard points.

I guess that's what the editor is for. You might also want to read an earlier thread that discusses the massive shortfall in allied shipyards (they are about 200-300 points short of what they really should be).
Still playing PacWar (but no so much anymore)...
