Fall Grau 25km/hex

Post by golden delicious »

I've started an AAR of my latest playtest of this scenario against Jeremy Mac Donald, over at TDG:

If anyone doesn't want to register at TDG (we had a problem with bots so had to add a manual approval) I'll check for comments here.
"What did you read at university?"
"War Studies"
"War? Huh. What is it good for?"
"Absolutely nothing."

This AAR is now complete - sadly I conceded on turn 70 [:(]

The whole thing is available to read on the above link. Post comments here if you don't want to register at TDG.

As stated on the thread, I am now working on the next version of the scenario.

Is this scenario now in its definite version or still undergoing testing.. Must be one of the longest in development?

Well I would consider the last version at 50km/hex to be definitive. Jeremy ceased development of the scenario around 2005. I was working on the new map for about five years and the scenario itself has been in development for about one. It's still in development, very playable but still has serious issues.

I think you know from the old TDG days how I feel about publishing scenarios which I feel have gameplay issues. However it's getting to the point where I'd like to have playtesters outside of the "usual suspects"- at the moment mostly it's just been three of us.

Then why doesn't Jeremy release it?

You'd have to ask him. I can give you his e-mail address if you like.

I've sent the last version I have to a number of people who have requested it. But naturally I wouldn't publish the scenario on his behalf.
