Replacements

What happens when you have a part unit and the full unit has disappeared with regards to replacements. I have yet to see replacements for these units. The frustrating thing is though, is that when units are unloaded the 'full' unit remains till last. So if that transport is then sunk, your left with the part unit, usually despite the fact that only 10% of the unit was actually lost. The worst one I saw was when I landed the 141st at Buna and all but 1 squad was unloaded before the transport was sunk, but I never saw any replacements for that unit for the rest of the game, despite it taking 50% casualties later on.

I know in the manual it says that you can only receive replacements for full units, but was wondering how this scenario fitted. Maybe there can be some point at which the unit becomes the 'full' unit ashore. You would asume you would want the leader of a unit ashore as quickly as possible to coordinate the attack etc.

Some answers would be welcome, or maybe you have noticed this same thing. In fact from looking at a previous thread with regards to plane replacements (I haven't looked at this closely), does this do the same thing here as well.
