Looking for a beginner axis player [Closed]

Post by mouse707 »

Hi, I have played the campaign on the axis side and I would like now to play as Russian. I have started a campaign versus IA but I'm realizing that I would prefer to play against a real opponent. I'm totally new to the PBEM game, with not so much experience of the game more generally (especially when I read this forum !). I know the basics of the game, but I do not know exploits, advanced tactics and so on. So I would like to play the 41-45 campaign against a beginner axis player, who wants to play the vanilla game. As I have read this term on other posts, I'm a social player, in the sense that I'm playing for the pleasure and I won't try to use exploits, cheats and so on.
I can play one turn a day approximately (sometimes more, sometimes less) and I'm in France.

Regards

I precise that I'm not a total noob. I play wargames for many many years (20 ?) an I have won the campaign with Germany in the end of 1942, with a Challenging level (but without FOW). Hovewer I'm loosing the soviet campaign in 1943 (hard level with FOW), but I think I know which mistakes I have made.

Hi, I would be interested in a game but cant commit to a turn a day. I'm currently reaching endgame in a '42 GC vs. the AI on "challenging" and it's turned into WW1.

I started playing one PBEM last year but had to abandon it for personal reasons and have been reluctant to start another due to the huge time commitment required. I felt bad letting my opponent down.

I've beaten the Soviet AI a few times in the '41 GC on challenging but not on the '42 GC as the axis is a mess in the '42 GC.

Compared to the AAR guys, I am a beginner however, so don't expect any one-turn Lvov checkmate moves!. I didn't understand 'muling' even when people were using it ;)

Mouse707, you sound like you are at the same stage of learning as I am. Have read lots of AAR's but never played against a human. Feel like it is time to try. No fear of cheating, still trying to figure out how to play. I could do a turn a day. Live in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Only problem is have never played a PBEM. Not sure how.

Thanks for your responses. I've sent MP to both of you. Games not started but I'm not looking anymore for players if I figure how to start a PBEM game
