Question for Erik re: Red Thunder 88

I'm really enjoying Red Thunder 88, but I was wondering what the best/least buggy version is? I've got ACOW 1.04 and TOAW3 3.0 through 3.4. Anyone have some advice on which version works the best?

If not, I'll just slog through each one and see what's different. Might be fun ;)
