Am I crazy?

Am I crazy?

It's been a couple of months since I played and did a fresh install of everything upto the latest shadows patch, but I swear I could build ships that were not automated upon completion... I know for certain that I could click on a starport, click the hammer icon, quickly queue up a good number of combat ships and they would all be built and launched unautomated and sit in small groups in a trail following the orbit of the planet... am I crazy? I can't seem to find any option to do this... I know I can right click a starport and select build and have them built unautomated that way, but it's a pain to queue up a dozen or more ships that way and I am certain I was able to build unautomated-on-completion ships via the hammer icon... am I crazy?!!?

There is a checkbox in the empire options.

Through the game menu (escape)- options - empire options.
