Air combat beyond range limit

Post by erstad »

In the attached save, there is a Tony 1B unit at manila that took about a dozen air-air losses when the turn ran, and also picked up some kills.

However, there are no allied air units within the 5 hex range of the Tony's, unless there is a cloaked CV TF off the PI. Thus, there should have been no A to A combat with that unit.

As a guess, I did have transports in manila transporting to Davao, and those transports were intercepted. Could the code somehow have had the tony's escorting the transports even though it was well past range?

This is with 1.0.6.1108r9
