What's your favorite mega and why?

Post by Jim1954 »

I will cast the 1st vote for MCLV. I prefer the combined arms approach that it follows rather than MCNA which is too tank heavy for my preference. Since MCWT hasn't arrived at my doorstep yet, thank you UPS for breaking the 1st copy, I can only go by what I have read on it. Seems to be predominantly infantry influenced but with some armor as support?

1) MCLV
2) MCWT
3) MCNA

I reserve the right to change my vote when I get MCWT, I'll just claim dangling chad.

What do you guys think? :D

MCNA!

Why?

Cause I tested it, and, while I liked testing Watchtower, too, I just like MCNA better :)

That said, all three are good, and I need to start to play them through all the way, them and Red Steel :)

Actually, once she does so will I!!

Sleep is a good thing I think

I have learned, though, to play with her on my lap and eatting. Only need one hand for that, so the other can use the mouse - until I have to load something! Then it gets hard!:)

But, I have started playing again, lately, after not being able to for my third trimester - it was too hard to get behind the desk.:D

The fact that MCNA is in third position don't want say that I dislike it: I like it very much! But the fact is that MCLV has all my preferences. Why? Perheaps because grand-dad fought there. Perheaps also because I've Belarussian friends (it's not incompatible). Hey, it's a fact that the interrest is higher for anything that can touch you: Europeans have in general a preference for Napoleon's battles and lesser for ACW. It's simply logical. Some of my ancestors inhabited Ligny in 1815; but none of them inhabited Gettysburg... (saying that, I liked very much to play Terrible Swift Sword, some years ago...)

I love all 3 of them, but here's my preference:

1) MCLV
2) MCNA
3) MCWT

MCLV is on top for one because it's the only one I've already completed, and I also like the combined arms battles. MCWT is on the low end for one reason because I've already played the Guadacanal campaign that comes with SPWAW and I found many similar elements there but MCWT contains a lot more details of course.

In fact, I've kinda wondered why Matrix would choose to do the third MC on this topic as opposed to some other battles in the Pacific. I'm sure there're plenty to choose from, and if a particular island doesn't lend itself to the required number of battles for a MC perhaps they can base the MC on several islands, for example "From Iwo Jima to Saipan" or something like that.
