Pirate spaceports

Hello,
yesterday i see one intresting thing - pirate constructor start to build small pirate spaceport under my
long range scanner and i send to kill that with my fleet - 4 carriers.
It was not finished (looks like 10-15% just build) - but this spaceport attack my fleet and blow them up.
Also i start to construct 2 defense bases on my colony - they were simply killed by 3 pirate frigates and dont try to kill anyone (they were also not build 100%).

Is this spaceport specific only or pirates specific? or not?

It depend what modules are build first. When the base got already Energy and weapons ready they will use it.

But why are your carrier got blow up just from a base ? Didn't you use Evade/Evade stance on carrier so they stay out of the fight ?
