I've talked to a number of my colleagues who have witnessed the descent into near anarchy that is Venezuela, some barrios in and around Sao Paulo and have travelled recently in Nicaragua and Guatemala-both rife with drug gangs, street thugs and corruption. Get real. And that's just the Western hemisphere. Nothing in CONUS compares.

To have 5 of the top 10 "least friendly" as American cities is laughable.

Oh, by the way, where's Minneapolis on the 'most friendly' list? Several respected American periodicals recognize this city as an excellent one for visitors and residents alike.

I suspect that this list reflects what the tourists think about different places they have visited. Not much tourism in North Korea therefore they do not get any votes.

Uttoxeter, England gets my vote for friendliest city in the world. The fact that warspite1 is mayor there helps.
