New Navy UAV data

Post by BradOrbital »

I came across data for the new US Navy UCAS aircraft but can't post the link yet as I'm still low in posts, so here's some of the stats (min and max) from the article that mentions a released document on it.

Min range: 600 nm

"will primarily fill information, reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting (ISRT) roles for the service’s carrier strike group with a limited ability to strike targets at a range of 2,000 nautical miles from the strike group in lightly contested environments"

3,000 pounds of payload including 1,000 pounds of air-to-surface weapons including the 500 pound JDAM and SDB 2.

Can fly two unrefueled orbits at 600nm or one unrefueled at 1200nm (at $150million cost per orbit).

Hope that is some assistance to anyone adding in data to the database :)

Article was found in the USNI website.

Thanks :) What about basic stats such as length, span, height, weights, fuel qty, engine details, etc?

Do you, by any chance, have stats on that most glorious of UAV projects, AARS/Quartz ? I would _love_ to do a hypothetical mid-90s scen with that and B-2s prowling inside Soviet airspace, searching for SS-25s and mobile command centers...

Sorry been a little quiet here, we've had multiple robberies the past two days and so we've been beefing up security and chasing violent criminals arrrrr. Will check for those stats hopefully later today. Also needing to do those satellite imagery layer tests I've been wanting to do.

Sunburn, could it perhaps be this one below.
I found them saying it could be a derivative of it after Quartz being cancelled.
Specs inside.

Hey guys, have added the X-47B. This platform is currently pretty much a placeholder and will evolve as the Navy starts making up its mind on what to do next [8D]

Still no idea what the fuel load might be like though. Probably around 6000kg (12000lb)? With a 2100nm ferry range and cruise speed & altitude equal to that of the F-16, 6000kg of fuel gives a fuel burn rate ca 15% below that of a F-16 with the same engine. So good enough for now I guess?

I've given the X-47B a 725nm combat range with 2x 1000lb-class weapons and a hi-hi-hi profile [Strike, Hi-Hi-Hi Profile. Cruise at 36k ft. 200nm (100nm+100nm) dash on target at 36k ft & Mil. Form-up 10 min at 10k ft. 10% reserves.]

Fair?
