Morale Question

I'm playing several PBEM games with several different scenario's now, including Scenario 17.

I have noticed that B-17's based at Port Moresby inevitably deteriorate in morale - usually much more quickly than the other aircraft.

Aside from providing rest, supply, and support, what can be done to bring morale back up? The only HQ I can find that they would report to is SWPAC and it seems a tad premature to move it to PM.

Any thoughts? I can't find anything in the manual that really speaks to this question.

I usually keep my B17's at Cooktown until New Guinea is completely cleared of Japs. Keep their altitude at 6000 or higher. Avoid base targets with HEAVY AA protection.
