Railway guns

Post by suprass81 »

Is there a mistake in railroad gun research? I've checked scripts and the time is set to 1200. maybe it should be 400?

Uncle Wikipedia says:
The outbreak of the First World War caught the French with a shortage of heavy field artillery. In compensation, large numbers of large static coastal defense guns and naval guns were moved to the front, but these were typically unsuitable for field use and required some kind of mounting. The railway gun provided the obvious solution. By 1916, both sides were deploying railway guns.

So there should be a possibility to finish research in 1916.
Setting new time should enable to research them in 1916.

Check the Threads for I think there was a lot of discussions about them. Personelly, for all the effort, you end up with a "Powder Puff"...
