Not to sound defeatist but . . .

This exciting new release is a faithful adaptation of the renowned Conflict of Heroes board game that won the Origins Historical Game of the Year, Charles Roberts Wargame of the Year and the James F. Dunnigan Design Elegance Award, as well as many others!

Designed and developed in cooperation with Uwe Eickert, the original designer of Conflict of Heroes, and Western Civlization Software, the award-winning computer wargame studio, no effort has been spared to bring the outstanding Conflict of Heroes gameplay to the computer. Conflict of Heroes includes an AI opponent as well as full multiplayer support with an integrated forum and game lobby. To remain true to the core gameplay of the board game, the PC version is designed to be fun, fast and easy to play, though hard to master. The game design is also historically accurate and teaches and rewards platoon and company-level combined arms tactics without overwhelming the player with rules.

Not to sound defeatist but . . .

is anyone still playing this game on a regular or semi-regular basis? (Outside of Jamm . . . [:)])

I've been thinking of running another tourney or starting a ladder but I'm not sure I'd get anyone.

Can anyone restore my faith here?

Nope. Hoping for some optional play methods in an update.

I need a play method that allows units a range of movement and ability to move max range over open ground.

I play the board game at least once a week. Same for the PC game. I think adding the Storms of Steel and hopefully Monster Tank and Wrecks/Destruction content will spur interest.

Good to hear. Single or multi-player?

I play single player almost exclusively. Probably as a result of playing board games solo since the original Panzer Blitz in 1971!

I may be tempted to play mulit-player when SoS is available for purchase - I much prefer the late war scenarios.

I think there is not many people for the MP game for the moment. It's a good game, I hope players will be back with Storms of Steel.

I've actually been designing most of the time ( on another project ), but I'll sign up anytime for MP games.
I don't understand why the online MP isn't more active.

Sadly its the "live to live" MP that makes it hard to get new people into the game. :(

I do not have the time to commit to online play and I believe many others feel the same way.

If one looks at the most successful wargames made, they nearly all have a very functional PBEM ability.

With so many games available, and free time being what it is, when I wish to play a human opponent PBEM is the only viable choice for me.

I really like the game but prefer others when I have the time to play solo.

I don't think the games "pulse" format is ever going to mesh with any form of Pbem. IMO, MP is going to be the only non-solo play this game will see.

Every time I pop in to the online room, nobody else is there. Not surprising given my location vis the location of most of the other players.

I still play single player games.
