Canceling a plotted course.

Post by GBS »

How can I cancel a course that I have plotted for a ship or sub when it was set manually? I have tried to click on the waypoints and hit Delete, Esc, and backspace and none work. Haven't found this in the manual yet.

Typically just begin to lay another course but instead of clicking on the map, hit ESC. The old course will disappear and there won't be a new one.

Press F3 to set a new course but instead of doing so hit the "ESC" key. No more course.

It would be nice if there was a way (maybe ESC) to just delete the last waypoint and continue plotting rather than starting over. It could be a useful feature to have if you are making involved paths say around mountains to avoid radar and your finger slips when clicking a point or two. I know the waypoints can be moved, but being able to delete the last point would be helpful.

Just a suggestion for a future version, and certainly not a high priority - just a nice to have. (I didn't see a spot to put this separately, but the developers seem to read everything :-) )

Select the platform you wish to cancel course, then press and hold f3 = solved

You can delete specific Way Points, too. I usually don't plot more than 3 or 4 at a time, myself.

How do you cancel a specific waypoint? I haven't figured that out. That's what I want - just one waypoint eliminated.

Never mind. Found it in this online tutorial:

select waypoint, press F3 and everything from that waypoint on disappears.
