Ive had that error only once, but the sim does crash pretty frequently. not too sure what the cause it for some of the crashes, although I have found that one surefire way to get it to hang is to create a no fly zone with unlocked reference points.

this last one I am not sure what caused it.

To go up, pull back on the stick.
To go down, pull back harder...
