Can we rename a player-defined area?

Post by $trummer »

I'd like to be able to identify my patrol areas at a glance by replacing the reference point numbers with descriptors like "ASW Patrol 01" that correspond with the mission they are linked with. It would be great if we could do this just once and simply name an area without re-naming all RPs, but failing that, I've tried to use R to rename points yet all it does is rename the group or unit selected, not the point. I seem to believe it's possible to rename RPs; can anyone enlighten me? Many thanks.

Select a ref point (just one point) and press r. It works.

Select 1 RP and rename it. Highlight name, CTRL C. Open next RP. CTRL V. Repeat.

Yeah the problem you might have is that you've selected more than 1 RP without realizing it. At that point it switches to renaming any unit that's selected. So one RP only.
