Sidetrack.....beer..

Post by JRyan »

Just bought some Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout.....

Oh my is this stuff good. After a week of a maintenance outage I needed a break...this hit the spot..

Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout is a coffee stout that uses the Haitian coffee launched by Alltech in September 2010. The company partnered with Haitian farmers after the devastating earthquake there in early 2010 and uses the proceeds from coffee sales to help them with infrastructure improvements and other projects.

The beer will be available later this week or next week at stores in Kentucky and Ohio. A four-pack is expected to sell for $12.99 to $13.99.

Expensive but wow is this good!

Well sure, how about both...at the same time.....er....I always have some beer while trying to think I know Naval warfare...

Edit this is the most I have spent for a micro brew ever...but I am old and I walked 20 miles this week and worked 60 hours. I wanted something special....this hit the spot.

Also, anything from Ballast Point would be appropriate for a naval game [;)]

Have you heard of Tactical Nuclear Penguin (TNP) yet? One of the strongest, if not the strongest beer there is. There is another guy from Germany who brews a similar beer, the price for a bottle is somewhere around 220€...

Personally, I prefer a good single malt whiskey from Islay...

Ahh! Another Pusser's guy! Most people in my area have never heard of it. But oh, is it good! Nice and smooth.
