Questions to Capn Darwin

Post by NickGen »

Hi,
I'm trying to create a map editor based on tilesets,
which will create maps similar to my reworked map.

at first, the MapEditor will only export the map in png format
it will need to import this graphic file into the official map Editor of the game.

Thereafter,I would like to save the map in FP9 directly...
I do not know yet if it will be possible or not...

I have a few questions :
the exact size of a hexagon is 74 pixel in width and 64 pixel in high?

Would it be possible to know in a more or less close time the programming logic of the map?

Nick,

The map is a straight up PNG file. The FP9 is created for each map in the Map Values Editor in game. Hex is 64 tall and 74 wide. Not sure I fully understand the programming logic statement. there would have to be in-house developer discussions on releasing the FP9 format or Map value code logic.

Right now as long as your map mimics the in-game one hex for hex you just need to copy the corresponding FP9 file to your new map name.

Hope this helps.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
