Possible bug: Trouble releasing grouped a/c from manual altitude constraint

Post by ExMachina »

Continuing to play Sea of Fire, I'm still having difficulty getting the Argentinian A4s to conduct a correct attack.

On their approach, I've selected ignore course when attacking and I've told my two groups to auto attack (about~5nm out form the UK ships). I've then made sure that I unchecked "manual" next to altitude for each group (in the sidebar). However, they A4's stubbornly remain at 50m and never get to attack (aaaarrrgh!)

Then I switched to the unit view, and there I saw that each A4 was still showing a check by "manual" altitude control [&:]. Once I unchecked THAT they started to climb to the correct altitude for weapons release.

I have now confirmed this behavior for groups of aircraft in several scenarios.

1)select group
2)F2 to adjust group's altitude
3)Then (in group view), select the same group and un-check "Manual" for altitude in the right panel; group altitude will appear to change status back to "Auto"
4)Go to unit view (num 9)
5)Select a unit of that same group and altitude will still be displayed as "Manual"
