question about helicoptor gunships...

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

question about helicoptor gunships...

Post by Lowlaner2012 »

Hi there

First let em say how much I am enjoying the game, its pretty good, well done guys :)

I know when you put artillery on call your units can call in strikes when they need them, is the same true for gunships, do they go to aid of ground units and strike targets automatically?

What is the best way to use them?

Cheers:)

The gunships and recon helos are totally under your control like the other ground units. They can be used with their speed to move quickly for rapid firepower in key ares. They can scout ahead as well. Just be careful to avoid AA units.

With any luck today. Should have been yesterday, but we pulled it back to check and fix a backward compatability issue.
