Twas the night before

World in Flames is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. World In Flames is a highly detailed game covering the both Europe and Pacific Theaters of Operations during World War II. If you want grand strategy this game is for you.

Twas the night before

Post by comsolut »

Twas the night before computer World in Flames
When all through the land
Not a counter was stirring,
Not even a chit;
The computers were humming
By their internet connections,
In hopes Matrix would soon be there.
The wargamers were all snug in their beds,
While visions of world conquest danced in their heads;
And mamma in her kerchief and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long fall nap,
When out of the computer their arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the computer I flew like a flash,
Refreshed the screen and hit enter with a bash,
The monitor, on the table gave an eerie glow
To all the objects in the room,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a ……….(be creative and post your idea to complete this poem)

She grumbles and moans
with rolling pin in hand
I say 'I married the wrong one
your sister would understand'

So you think you married the wrong sister?
Well let me tell you this, mister
I've always been a secret lover of wargames,
And they don't come any better than World In Flames.
You want to play? Well I'm just the same,
So don't just sit there, download the game.
But I promise you one thing, you're in for a helluva fight
Cos no one messes with Mrs Warspite.

What? Just so I know, what are you to execute me for? Appalling poems or quoting Eminem?

Okay but can you leave a gap between ready-aim and fire? About 50 years should do the trick.

Its alright for you - you live in the US. Here in little old Englandsville I've got to go to work in a minute and concentrate on that stuff, knowing that people will be downloading the game before me [:@].
