Why the Cold War database end in 1979 and not in 1991?
Soviet Union collapsed in december 1991.

Because DB 3000 covers the period from 1980 to the near future.

This has (I think) historical reasons.
The old harpoon database covered 1980 onward, so everything before was basically "new"
