Chinese set-up strategy

Post by vollman »

How should I set up China? And Japan in China, for that matter?

I've played World in Flames for years, but of course this is a brand new map!

Should I stack Chang-Sha and Chengchow and then stick the remaining Chinese units in far-forward mountains, and in strategic places where their ZOC can slow things down?

Where should I put the HQ?

These are the "Great unanswered questions".

None of us have played a competitive game on the Chinese map to conclusion of the war enough times to have a grasp of it's strengths and flaws.

Sadly, I don't have the hutzpah to run the entire Axis/Allied powers during a full game. I just lose that oomph without a game partner to plot or agonize with.

Barbarossa & Guadalcanal are far more suited for a 1v1 game.
