Cover Artwork For Downloads

Post by Cataphract88 »

I think it would be a good idea for Matrix/Slitherine to include box artwork for their games when you purchase the download version. This would be very useful if (like me) you create a back-up disk and want to provide it with a CD cover.

What do you think?

The fear is that someone would use them to sell boxed discs of game copies.

You could use the front picture from the PDF manual.

We don't have any current plans to do this for various reasons - one of which is piracy & copyright, but also the additional work and changes to the production process and the potential damage to boxed sales if we did (we have to sell a significant number to pay for the upfront costs and it could make that less viable and we don't want to lose that as an option).

That's a shame, Iain, but thanks for your reply anyway.

I too have used the front cover of the PDF manual.

Take a screen shot. Edit the screen shot using Microsoft paint.

Then print it in colour in the same size as a CD box.

Works well!
