How to select units in the "units in hex"form?

How to select units in the "units in hex"form?

This is not working for me.
If I use the fly out I can select the units I want, but it is not working in the "units in hex" form.(I locked the form)
Any idea somebody?

I would be very happy if I could do this as well. It seems to be the most natural area to select multiple units at the same time.
