The screenshot shows that it is the German's turn as it says Axis #1 after Sept/Oct 1939

Remember if you are playing solitare you play both sides and the Germans always go first in this turn. At least that is what the screenshot is showing me.

So you are not just 'playing Poland'. I hope this helps.

By the screenshot it looks like the active nation is Japan.

You are right Orm. And by the screen colors it looks like China needs to make a decision of some kind

Well if you want a cute screenshot. look at this one. This was a netplay game from yesterday that here you have a German sub attack onto a british naval group with the Chinese choosing what sea sections to have the attack made in. Our game yesterday became so corrupt that we never made it thru turn 1 so we started all over today.

Since the flags are different, I assume this is a NetPlay game (the alternative would be a Head-to-head game).

The color scheme indicates China is the local major power.

So, the problem is:
During NetPlay, when one side (e.g., Japan) is deciding about Land Combat Declarations, the other side (e.g., China) can cancel attacks by individual units.

The Land Combat Declaration problem is fixed in version 1.0.6.0.
