Is commander europe as good as...

First off I am new to this site and so far it seems very cool. I am loving commander the great war and wanted to know if anyone has played the other commander Europe world war 2, and is it as good as this game? I have only played close combat the original series and would love to find some other cool world war 2 games.

well if you mean commander europe at war, i will say only this: its the only game that i have on my desktop for 4 years.
Regarding comander the great war i belive that with 1.40 the game has the same gameplat as CEAW, but in different way.
WW2 was a war of manuevering corps of mechanized and armour coprs, the WW1 was a war of attrition.
I like both commander europe at war and commander the great war, in this moment i have the fun of my life with the latest beta patch of commander the great war 1.40.

I also had my doubts before buying the game, but since I bought it a few weeks ago I must say that it is a great game.

The PBEM++ is excellent and very user friendly, the AI is not bad, and there are numerous improvements in recent patches.

I'm a guy who prefers more strategic/on a grand scale type of games, where you can control an entire nation/alliance; HOI, EU, GGWAW, CEAW, CNAW, Strategic Command, AA...
If you like any of those I think you will like Commander the Great War.
