Help with Eqpt Editor question

Post by IainF »

Hello all,

I've been having a dabble with the equipment editor and was wondering if there is any way of taking eqpt from one part and putting it into another part, eg so that all German eqpt is together. I've seen this done with the 1947 file but can't do it myself, is it just a case of manually copying info into a new slot each time or is there a way of copy/cut/paste I've missed.

Thanks in advance,

Iain

Iain,

one option would be with Notepad++, but it's also a pain in the a*se; there's the WW2 Eastern Front database that sorted the equipment out. What sort of scenario/theatre/timeline are you developing?

Many thanks her Oberst for your speedy reply.

I thought that might be the case, bugger.

I was thinking of putting together a Modern database for a couple of pesonal projects I'm thinking of - I've just recently left work due to ill health and need something to do to keep me sane so not too bothered by he extra work involved!

Cheers.

There's another chap from the fatherland, Alpha77 I think, who modified a modern post-WW2 equipment database. Perhaps get in touch with him.

Iain has already contacted me, I will send him the file later per e-mail.

I may also upload the file somewhere, you can read the location in this thread (later):

tm.asp?m=3362116

Ran into problems with missiles (AA+AT) so I wouldnt advise to use "my" file (which btw is only a mod of another one, but I forgot the orig. Authors name......) if you wanna some kind of modern air war [8|]

Also guess my time is too limited to realy test and research more of this database. So I am going to provide it "as is"....
