Is there a bug in v5.01?

I downloaded v5.01 the other week. Every time I play Guadalcanal, I get a strange thing happening. If I pick 'infantry/Infantry Co D', it lets me buy the first one. Then (despite having loads of points left), it 'reds out' random elements of the outfit. Quite often it is the MGs, but it can be the Platoon HQs, or even the squads. If I restart, it will affect different elements. I have once had it let me buy two complete companies, then misbhave on the 3rd. If you buy the company in this state, it leaves out all the red entries, just as if you can't afford it all. It has also happend on engineer sections. Is this something wrong with my installation, or have others had this (a search failed to throw up anything). Otherwise, love the improvements.

BTW didn't someone say there would be a demo of the megacampaign available sometime?

Sounds like you have the unit randomiser on.

It makes units unavailible,a realism feature.

Look around carefully on your pref's screen,
you should find it there.
I know you can turn it off/on
