Solo vs multiplayer

Post by Finarfïn »

Hello,

I'll start soon a solo game (global war) and i would like to know differencies with multi player.
For example, could an allied player take a look at axis power's production or not?

I have not played multi-player, so I don't know how the game behaves in practice.

According to the rules, though, the only hidden information is the values of the chits in US entry pools and the values of chits in defensive pools in neutrality pacts. The number of chits is open knowledge; just the values are hidden. Chits in offensive pools are revealed.

Production, all piece locations, and anything else is open knowledge.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Everything is open to examination by all players, except the following.

Offensive chits used in neutrality pacts.
US entry chits

Rules As Coded pages 89-90

13.2 ENTRY MARKERS
Next, you must decide whether the marker will be offensive or defensive. If you place it as an offensive marker, its value is hidden from everyone but you. If you place it as a defensive marker, its value is visible to everyone.

US Entry 13.3.1 ENTRY MARKERS
You can look at your own markers after you have committed them to a particular entry pool but you can’t show them to anyone else (even on your own side).

Hope this helps.

How would you start/play a multiplayer game against yourself? Isn't that a solo game? My understanding is there is no AI play. I suppose you could save and send it email to yourself? Not sure.

I don't understand this question. Available are: solitair (where you play all major powers) and Hot Seat. Netplay is under construction at this moment. Multiplayer Hot Seat and Netplay comes later...
