Unable to progress game after fighting through

The Queens start the movement phase in Alexandria. East Med contains French, CW and Italian units. The Queens enter East med and are intercepted by the Italians. CW chooses to fight through, and places the Queens in the 3 section. The naval combat ends with the Italian fleet aborting aftet two rounds. After the Italian units aborted the CW naval unit is in the unit stack, but the cursor displays X when hovering over Red Sea. Pressing X empties the unit stack, but its not possible to advance the game.


Has anyone else experienced this? I`m not sure exactly what triggers the bug. Savegame from start of allied naval movement attached if anyone wants to try.

It seems even an unsuccessful interception attempt can cause the game to skip the rest of the return to base phase.

Edit: This is not the same bug. Saving and restoring solved the problem.
