Intelligence Question

Post by tjhkkr »

Has anyone noticed whether deploying agents on different worlds helps capture enemy agents when they try sabotaging
various facilities?
Or does it not make a difference?
Remember that the evil which is now in the world will become yet more powerful, and that it is not evil which conquers evil, but only love -- Olga Romanov.

Would assume you would want to keep everything at your capital since that is where the majority of your potential intelligence targets are located.

Would be an interesting dynamic, but a bother for large empires.

If that mechanic was in play, when they decided to sabotage something if the defensive agent had to be there or close defenses would almost never work. Which of the Shipyards, Construction Ships, Mining stations would you choose to defend with a few Spies you would have?

Hello TJ;

The Intelligence Agent's 'Counter-Intelligence' Skill/Trait is applied as a factor Empire-wide.

It is not Planet, Station or Ship specific. Although, I personally believe that Ambassadors who have the
'Counter-Intelligence' Skill/Trait and are stationed on a races homeworld, enhances the effect against
that particular race. A Governor who has the Counter-Intelligence Skill/Trait enhances protection of
the world they govern. Of course a Leader with the Counter-Intelligence Skill/Trait is applied as a
factor Empire-wide as well. This from my testing seems more pronounced in Shadows than Legends.
Hope this helps!

Shields are useless in "The Briar Patch"...

True; very true.
On the other hand, that might make the other side more careful too.
And to answer, my most critical worlds would be what I would defend... but in my mod, Intelligence agents and characters in general have a HUGE role.
But you make a good point.
