Grafx hiccups after installing new patch

Now that I am using the latest patch, the graphics of the game have gone haywire and become crazier more and more as a session goes along.

For example: When dialogue boxes pop up, and the subphase is cleared, the dialogue pop up would go away and leave the underlying screen intact. Not anymore. Now, more and more as the session progresses, the dialogue only goes away partially and leaves random "artifacts" on the screen, which obscure the main map. To clear the screen, I have to minimize then restore the main screen. Very frustrating. Again.

Similarly, during a digression phase for air, the air units appear in the upper left corner of the screen in a little popup box. The popup box no longer disappears when the digression is over. Like the others, it either remains entirely, or leaves an artifact behind. Again, I have to minimize the main map and roll it back out.

Other graphical behaviors have changed, as well.

Frankly, for the price of this game, these types of issues should not be present. I have updated drivers, more than enough RAM and video card, and this is just becoming more and more of a waste of money and time. I can understand a hiccup here and there, but this is just unacceptable.

I agree this needs to be in tech support thread. I just wanted to let the powers at be know that I too have been having this issue. Although I have been having this issue since I bought the game prior to the latest patch being released. I end up doing the same thing as Hellen with having to minimize the main map screen and then maximize it again to get the old pop up screens from battles to go away.

I just deal with it as it does not detract from the overall game play for me and I figure it will be fixed in time anyway.

Actually this sounds alot like a video driver issue. I would almost guess something like turning off some video rendering option would correct this, my best bet would be to turn off hardware acceleration and/or anti-aliasing options in your video driver and see if that clears up the artifacts.
