Can't Boot Game

I get the following error message immediately when booting the game:

I am running Win 7 64 bit. This is with the newest installer 1.52gbeta. If I press continue it just stalls on "Loading Fonts".

I have tried using an older installer (1.51j) to same issues. The installer does not autopopulate a folder to install to (had to manually set), does not create any sort of shortcut (had to open from file folder directly), and does not show up in the windows programs uninstall list (had to delete files manually). I'm not sure if there is something I am missing with this installer, but I can't even get past the initial loading screen.

This must be a faulty install. The exe runs as intendended, but it cannot find a graphic file because the graphic files have not been installed.

It could be the installer, but then more people would have problems. Its probably your Windows settings. Could you try running the installer without any anti-virus software running and run it as "administrator". Does the installer give some sort of error message?

Thanks! Turns out the download link for the game I was provided initially was for the patch only, and I was able to get matrix to send me the full game link again. I was trying to install the patch over nothing, but didn't realize it. Problem solved.
