CIVIL WAR MADAGASCAR
I'm working on a small scenario in order to test out my leader making abilities before I tackle my larger scneario's such as Near east and the others. With the help of ernie, I'm getting them made with little problem. it is based on the Coup de'ta which occured in 2009. intervention is possible by the French, South Africans and maybe even Mozambique ( just threw them in for the heck of it)
Tank factories, plane factories and shipyards cannot be buit, the only way to get tanks and aircraft items will be through your ports. Regimes will be able to build gun factory, but the research for new items will be very costly. The leaders for all regimes have been completed. I'm going to attempt giving these leaders cards but well see how that goes. If all goes well then I will make leaders for my other scneario's as mentioned.
One thing I would like to do is have action cards which allow intervention by both South Africa and France. There will be manpower, and both Government and the rebels will be able to request oil and raw material via cards. This resources will be very expensive but worth it. One other thing, military commanders for both sides will be very expensive while some will not be. The best military commanders will be very expensive PP wise. I'll provide screenshots soon
France will be allied with the rebel faction, while South Africa and Mozambique will be allied with the current Government

Also, victory points will determine who the victor is- only cities, captials and ports can produce supply, towns cannot. Now if a town is on a crossroads and it is a strategic location, then I will put a VP there for it.
Capital is worth 25 VP
each city is worth 3 VP
ports are worth 5 VP
temporary capital worth 15-20 VP

RE: CIVIL WAR MADAGASCAR
running into a problem with the landscape for " Temporary capital" I actually just copied the capital landscape changed the sprite (different capital sprite) Normal captial sprite is a red dot, so the temporary capital has a blue dot. what is happening is that it is not conturing if that makes sense, instead it is just filling the entire hex. if anyone has an idea that will be helpful, it will be appreciated.

Wow that's a difficult question... maybe you should ask Vic directly (if he ain't too busy with his new games that is)

RE: CIVIL WAR MADAGASCAR
I do not know how to fix that... the landscape part of the editor still eludes me. However, why would you want to make a special landscape for a temp. capitol, why not "just" make a different loctype?

RE: CIVIL WAR MADAGASCAR
Good to hear anything from you about scenarios. I hope you will have strength and time to finish/polish some of them and post where to download them all

There is no such thing as a historically accurate strategy game. Every game stops being historically accurate from the very first move player do. First unit that moves ahistorically, first battle with non-historical results, mean we ride in unknown.
