debug message?

Post by joshuamnave »

It appears that a debug message is accidentally appearing in the game, or at least that's how I'm interpreting this screen shot. This is in 1.1.6

They're popping up a lot. Not game breaking, but a pretty big annoyance.

Hi Zartacla

Just posted this in the beta section so Steve could see it right away.

Good, thanks. It appears I may have spoken too soon. One or both of those popups is happening with every land move in Russia, plus after the end of turn roll, after the weather roll, after most naval moves, after many land moves outside of Russia, etc... the lag time for moving units has been replaced by the time it takes to click through each of those messages, each of which has a half second (or so) load time. In other words, still very much game breaking.

Please, I beg - don't make us wait another 5 days for another fix.

I could fix this right away but then I would have to go to the 2 week programmers school first[:D]

Sorry not a joke this has happened before and I believe it is an easy fix. Hopefully.

Mea culpa. I'll fix this ASAP.

I'll upload a Hot Patch to remove the debug messages within the next hour.

===

Those are debug messages but they should only appear if something very unusual is happening.
The HQ shouldn't be moving from Helsinki to Freetown. Nor should the other message about the CNNN tracing supply to Trieste appear with the warning about a possible infinite loop.

Could you please post a saved game for when you encountered these? I would like to investigate this more.

EDIT: The Hot Patch is now available in the main World in Flames forum.

This is the most recent save from that game. I don't have the older saves. It was happening when I was moving units in most theaters, but especially in Russia.
